Multi-storey apartment blocks and communal house in Roskilde
JCN Bolig built 111 apartments - a total area of 9,420 m2 in 3 and 4 storeys, and a communal building Agora, which is 150 m2 and 430 m2 of commercial premises.
The project was a long time coming. It was started in November 2017, but because the local planning was not in place, the project’s start took a long time. During this time JCN Bolig contributed in the project’s development, provided consultancy, and found solutions, so that the project could be adapted to suit the requirements and challenges that had yet to be made clear. We provided input for the optimisation of certain areas, so we could create more value in the development for the set framework amount. Thus it could be approved for the benefit of all parties.
The overall plan solution was optimised with 5–6 types of apartments (varying from approx. 64 - 110 m2). The different types of apartments are placed on top of one another and achieve a uniform footprint through the development. The structures are optimised in dimensions and thus help to minimise any waste of resources.
